This pergola is the perfect opportunity to extend your outdoor season. Thanks to the 38 tilting double-layer louvres, you can switch between a closed, sheltered space, and an open top to allow sunlight to come flooding in. The roof louvres can be opened/closed using two separate gearboxes, allowing you to customise which side of the roof you want open or closed. Use your outdoor area even when the weather is less than perfect. This pergola ultimately allows you to choose between sitting in sunshine or shade, and provides shelter should it start to rain at a moment's notice - typical of British weather!
There is a brilliant built-in drainage system which prevents you from having to open the louvred roof to let water drain. Any rainwater that lands on the louvres flows into U-shaped channels. From here, the water flows from the roof and into channels in the pergola framework. Once in the horizontal framework, the rainwater will then flow into the inside of the hollow pergola legs and vertically down to the ground. This genius system means that you'll never see the water draining off of the pergola. If you were to open the louvres when wet, the U-shaped channels prevent rainwater from dripping under the sheltered area and getting your garden furniture wet.
Our weather-ready pergolas offer you a sheltered option for you and your garden furniture to stay dry in rainy conditions. However, in heavy downpours, there's always a chance your pergola may leak. Just as you would with your house, we ask you to check the pergola gutters are free of debris to keep the pergola in good condition.
This pergola will require assembly and we recommend 2-3 people are required to safely lift and assemble the pergola. The build time is approx 3.5 hours and should be positioned on a solid and hard surface, like concrete bases. In order for the drainage system to do its job, the pergola should be secured to a patio that has a gradual decline. Most patios would naturally have this, in order for rain water to flow away from the house. Please ensure the pergola legs are securely bolted to the floor using the holes within each leg base plate, and secured using the expansion bolts which are supplied as standard.
The rattan furniture frames will get dirty and dusty after the winter months underneath the cover or being kept in storage. You can easily clean your rattan furniture when you take it out of storage by simply using a hose pipe and sponge to wash the dirt and dust away.

We can confirm that all of our furniture can be left outside all year round. However we do recommend purchasing one of our winter protective covers for your furniture even the sun can cause issues. Our covers provide superior protection from the elements. We strongly advise that all cushions should not be stored underneath your protective cover, otherwise the cushions will become water stained. In addition all cushions should be stored in a dry location when not in use.
To clean our cushions, we recommend a simple hand wash with warm soapy water and a clean cloth. Our cushions are not machine washable and cannot be tumble dried.
All of our PE Rattan products provide UV protection to ensure they do not fade in sunlight, resulting in years of enjoyment. Please see our cushion care guide for more details. We recommend not to place in direct sun andamp; cover when not in use, Also parasol or other means of shade is useful in the hottest months.
We recommend cleaning your furniture without the cushions at least once a year.
Brush the furniture down to remove leaves and debris. Use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth to wipe dirt away. After the dirt has been removed we recommend rinsing your furniture.
Many of our furniture ranges come fully assembled, as they are fully aluminium welded. The only components which usually require assembly are our tables, parasols and storage boxes. Please note that some furniture ranges come in sections and will require assembly.

Does our Rattan Contract and Expand?
Yes all of our rattan will contract and expand based on the current weather conditions. In warm weather, our rattan will expand and then contract back to its original state once temperatures become cooler. This is a completely normal trait for rattan garden furniture and in result will stop the weave from snapping and becoming brittle in the winter months.
Please avoid leaving reflective objects on your table in direct sunlight. Glass table tops must not be located in direct sunlight (Glasses, Bottles, Ornaments) as this may lead to your rattan damaging in the sun.
Please note many of our rattan weaves are made up of varying colour strands and the strands can vary in thickness due to the items being handmade. These variations can look slightly different once in your garden depending on the level of sunlight and the design of each set may mean your weave is woven in different configurations. The colour can also vary, in the morning some ranges may look a little greyer and in the afternoon the sun may pick out more beige tones. All our photos have been taken in different settings and lighting. All our items are handwoven; no weaving is identical throughout our sets. All finishing strands are pinned in place to assure they do not unravel.
Rising tables are designed to be easily raised or lowered. We have designed these tables with no moving parts to ensure the most durable design. Our rising tables come with either an easy lock in, lock out mechanism or a gas lift lever.
During the winter months you will find your aluminium frames will collect dust and dirt if exposed outside or kept in storage. Our frames can easily be cleaned with warm soapy water and a sponge, the frames will dry within an hour.
Leaving any type of glass outside, you will find it gets dirty and dusty and a mildew can build up from the weather elements changing. You can easily clean the glass with a warm soapy cloth, then use another separate cloth which is damp to polish the finish and allow it to dry. We supply cleaning kits which we have made to suit cleaning your outdoor glass tables,
